Here we are in Equihen-Plage France, just down the coast from Boulogne-sur-Mer. We are staying the night in a campsite a couple of hundred metres from a stunning beach. Jason is currently watching tv, whilst I fill you all in on our day. So far its been a learning curve but we are loving it already. Last night we stayed in Folkestone in a supermarket car park, our first wildcamp spot. We left at 6am for the Eurotunnel, where we met another couple also on their maiden voyage. Arriving in France, you realise how great a sat nav is. One I can’t say any of the place names and two it knows where we are going, unlike us. We had our first french Lidl shopping experience just south of Calais, pictures are fantastic on the packaging for figuring out the meat section. Stocked up we headed 30 mins to Equihen-Plage our first ACSI campsite. The guy in reception is doing great at my minimal english to french translations, so far ive been to see him three times. Once when we arrived, the second to figure out how to use the showers (use the swipe card), and the third for change for the washing machines (need a token). At this point I asked for £1 euro coins in change and we just smiled at each other as that was too hard to look up in my phrase book(definitely lost in translation). The dogs have been for a run along the never-ending beach, we have managed to break our MIFI device. We are all connected to a personal hotspot, and we have set our alarm system off at least ten times. We are planning to stay another day and get a feel for the motor home set up. Theres a Patisserie 200 metres up the road that I want to visit tomorrow, where I can practise my french. So that being said …….. la prochaine fois (till  next time)
