Day 1-2
This year we opted for some sea air again for our holidays. This was going to be our first without our beloved Zoey, who we sadly lost nearly 6 months ago. She would have loved the beach. We travelled down on the bank holiday Monday with nearly motorway 90% of the way it was a good drive. Arriving at our accommodation a lovely one bed flat under a Victorian house. We decided to only wander to the nearest shop and set out on discovering Torquay the next day.
Torquay we headed off in the direction of the Marina along the boardwalk. All the beaches closed for dogs we were glad it wasn’t too hot. Found an empty bay Beacon Cove but George didnt want a paddle so we carried on along the coastal path North. At one point we were getting tired and hungry so decided to head back for fish n chips. I almost fell over at £36 but it was pretty good to be fair. We headed back passing through the 15th Century Torre Abbey a UNESCO site.

Later that day we walked 5 mins up the road to the village of Cockington, set in parkland and lakes. What a cool place
