We have decided to stay put for the week at Praia de Vagueira, its cheap, the beach is metres away, we have electric and free wi-fi fast enough to stream tv…. so just chilaxing for a week.

Today we decided to just venture out for the day to IIhavo and Barra, to see the cool stripe painted buildings on the sea front. We past these on our way on Sunday but the town was busy, so today was a good opportunity to visit.  Not much was open so we headed back to our usual haunt on the seafront at our aire.

We had been meaning to try this takeaway bar we past the other day, the smell of charcoal chicken down the street, was mouth-watering. Well it did not disappoint for €5 for a whole chicken and €7 for spare ribs over the coals…… wow!!!! think we will be regulars down there. Jason is a regular in the pastry shop, and every day we try a new one. Sickly sweet we need three walks a day to wear it off. Christmas is on our door step we decided to travel Christmas day as hopefully the roads will be quiet. We are trying to avoid the hoards of people who would have descended on the Algarve for Xmas and new year and hope to arrive in early january. Cant believe we have been travelling for nearly two months, the time has flown by. The dogs are loving having the beach as a back yard, running freely as no one is ever on the beach. I’ve managed to get some yoga in, much to the amusement of the other campers here, but its nice to stretch in the sun and soak in the fresh sea air. The surfers have just arrived so I might go down the beach and watch a few of their sets roll in.
